The Bible Says Time Travel Is Possible

Of all the things I look forward to about getting into Heaven – yes I am going to be there and if you’re not sure message me and I will help you – one of the most exciting things for me has got to be the ability to time travel.

This has long been something that man has dreamed of doing. Science fiction books and movies give us a glimpse of what our minds think it might be like – and I don’t think there is one that I don’t like.

Our 2001 Honeymoon

Dunns River FallsWe spent the entire afternoon of the third day on our honeymoon in our room. Paying careful attention to every single detail. Holding each other a though our lives depended on it – and in a way they did.

I don’t think we went down for dinner until it was almost too late to eat. I cannot even remember, honestly if we ate – how could we? We were exhausted.

God Does Not Want Your Dream to Become Windows XP

Microsoft Windows XP wordmark official.

Some time ago, I wrote about how our faith, according to Paul, can be shipwrecked but that I do not believe that means were rendered permanently useless. I believe that God uses that time – if we allow him – to help us grow and to teach us what we need to learn. Obviously, we can be obstinate and miss God’s lesson but that is our doing not his. You can read that post here.

Thursday Special – Guest Post at Sammy’s

Today, I have the honor and privilege to be guest posting at a terrific site,Sammyadebiyi.com. Sammy’s got a great site. He writes consistently thought provoking posts – I highly recommend you check out his writing while you’re there.

The title of my piece is “Kicking Down the Doors” and can be found HERE or HERE (same link but just one “here” did not seem adequate).

Feel free to leave comments – as always – either here or at Sammy’s.

I’ll be back to my regular schedule next week – I might even post a short poem I have been working tomorrow for Poetry Friday but Monday for SURE!

Have a great weekend and please show Sammy some love by reading and commenting on his stuff his site can be found HERE and HERE 🙂

You Cannot Be Sure Of God Until You’re Sure Of God

Question Mark** The following is a question from one of last weeks posts – God Is With Me and the answer I provided. I think the question is common among people looking for their direction, as is this reader. Feel free to respond as you are lead here or on the original post.

I edited the question and answer for this post.

GOD IS WITH ME

I cannot say that I have had a good week. In fact, it would be a massive understatement to stay it was crap; that I am glad for the week to be over does not do justice to the word.

But God was with me.

I Just Don’t Feel Good

*NOTE – To say that I wrote the following while I didn’t feel good would be true but I do not want that to be a cop out.  I write what I feel -good or bad, positive or negative, sad and demented but always honest.  I will not make an excuse, this is how I felt at the time that the words came out.  I am using this as an example of what I believe we all go though – emotions that we all deal with – and how I deal.  I share this because I believe someone is feeling the EXACT same thing and they need to know they’re NOT alone. If I am talking to you, leave a comment and we can talk. Send me an email and we’ll pray.

Just know.

Your Passion is God Given

I am not a “heart on his sleeve” kind of guy.

Never have been.

Except during football season when I can – at times – become so animated and so loud that  it once prompted the Boy to say “I wish football had never been invented”

Talk about devastated.

A fascination with the unknown – passion for what’s not seen;

Understanding overtones – living in between.

Doing What I Do for God

I am always a little scared when I start to write a post.

Will someone agree with it? Will they like it? Will they leave a good comment or tear me to shreds? Will they share it, Face Book it, tweet or Pin it? Will they subscribe to my site? Will they read something I have already written?

Will anyone read it at all? Besides my mom – that is.
