I often talk, here at PADAG, about finding God’s will for your life – as I have come to believe that’s part of what I can do to help people – find their way closer to God.
Something that I have struggled with for years is my own direction and the thing is the answer has always been right in from of me.
Pick a Direction and Go!

I love Sunday mornings – always have, always will.
I like the early morning hours every day but there is something about Sunday that – to me – is special, and it is not attending a church service.
At least not always.
I believe that it was my spending time alone on Sunday mornings as a child that opened my eyes to the reality of a creator and God used that time to reveal himself to me even before I ever read a single word in the bible.
I believe that I have been punishing myself – not for something I have done but something I want to do – for the gift God’s given me.
I don’t mean to brag but I am on Facebook – a lot!
See nothing to brag about there. In fact, I should probably cut back some of my “facebooking” – I love how we’ve turned a social media site into a part of speech.
VERB! That’s what’s happening.
The more time I spend mindlessly scrolling through what my friends from high school did over the weekend and who is seeing what movie the more I am aware of how it is used as a means to express your personal feeling and beliefs. You can freely rail against Liberals, openly assail the Tea Party, support this cause or that, post a picture for an hour to raise awareness for Autism, MS and the need for the BUCS to dump their failing…TEAM.
OK – I wanted to get mine in there too.

God has made redemption so easy.
Have faith – you’re good. Accept his gift – you’re in. Trust what Jesus did on the cross – you’re solid.
It is no more complicated than that.
We spent the entire afternoon of the third day on our honeymoon in our room. Paying careful attention to every single detail. Holding each other a though our lives depended on it – and in a way they did.
I don’t think we went down for dinner until it was almost too late to eat. I cannot even remember, honestly if we ate – how could we? We were exhausted.
Some time ago, I wrote about how our faith, according to Paul, can be shipwrecked but that I do not believe that means were rendered permanently useless. I believe that God uses that time – if we allow him – to help us grow and to teach us what we need to learn. Obviously, we can be obstinate and miss God’s lesson but that is our doing not his. I cannot say that I have had a good week. In fact, it would be a massive understatement to stay it was crap; that I am glad for the week to be over does not do justice to the word.
But God was with me.
*NOTE – To say that I wrote the following while I didn’t feel good would be true but I do not want that to be a cop out. I write what I feel -good or bad, positive or negative, sad and demented but always honest. I will not make an excuse, this is how I felt at the time that the words came out. I am using this as an example of what I believe we all go though – emotions that we all deal with – and how I deal.
