Jesus Christ is PEACE

How often do we confuse what is important with that which is not?

For me, it’s every day. I am constantly looking for ways to improve my outlook, my situation my job.

My life.

It seems I often do it under the guise of serving God and bringing him glory but it’s not about that. Not in my heart. Not really. It’s about me. It’s what I want to do. It’s how I want to live. It’s how I want to be.

Your Dream Does Not Matter

We’ve all heard the saying “the road to hell is paved with good intentions.” I think there is a lot of wisdom here.

Another way of saying that is, “your dream does not matter.”

Friday Forum – What’s On YOUR Mind?

55834-thFor several weeks now, I have been limiting my Friday posts to the more intuitive, less structured side of my writing and to be honest today I was dry, done spent.

This week,  I have been flat, tired, disinterested and and just plain frustrated with life. Usually I find those times to be a veritable playground for free expression – not so this week.

Your Treasure May Be God’s Plan

In Luke’s gospel, Jesus is quoted saying “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also (Luke 12:34 KJV).” In this verse he’s referring to what we pay attention to or where our priorities lie determines how or where we spend our time and live our lives.

I am not going to argue that – I mean Jesus said it, right?

Thank you all for your help. PADAG surpassed 1000 page views early this afternoon allowing me to achieve my personal goal if 1000 page views before going into the month of August.  As of right now  we have 1011.

You’re ALL the best!

I hope that those of you that have recently discovered Pick A Direction and Go! will continue to stop by and benefit from your visits.

I respond to all comments and hope to get to know you all better.

If there is anything I can do for you please let me know.

Also, just a reminder, if you subscribe to PADAG you’ll be in line to receive a free copy of my first eBook. I am hoping to finish it in the next couple days.

Thank you again.

Of the posts you read in the last week which one had the most impact on you? Which one did you like? Hate? I would really love to know what you think.

Your Dream Is Not Stupid

guitarWhat do you dream about?

I am not talking about flying through the clouds, falling off a building and landing in a tub a pudding – unless it’s warm and chocolate  then we’ll talk later – no, I am talking about the dream that drives you. The one you talk to your friends about every chance you get. The dream that you imagine will catapult you to superstardom – or maybe the corner office, the one that keeps you up at night because you cannot wait to start working on it in the morning.

Friday Potery – Separated for Eternity

Alone in my corner with anguish I plead.

It’s dark and cold, there is no fire – the warmth would be comforting.

Not what I thought, I think as they laugh – they tricked and they lied to me.

Help Me Reach 1000 Page Views and get a FREE eBook

Hello Everyone,

I was looking over my stats tonight and I realized two things.

1. I have been getting readers from India and Brazil – so hello to my new international friends,  thanks for reading and,

2. I am only 178 “page views” away from 1000 total views since I moved PADAG over to mickholt.com back in May. For you math wizards you’ve already figured out that I am sitting at 822 “PVs”.

I know LOTS of other blogs that get a 1000 views a day – and that’s cool I’ll get there in God’s perfect time, assuming that’s in the cards for me – but in the meantime I was wondering if you all could help me get to  the 1000 mark by the end of the month?

Lights, Camera, Action – Jesus!

Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and I have founded empires. But on what did we rest the creations of our genius? Upon force. Jesus Christ founded his empire upon love; and at this hour millions of men would die for him.”Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)

I love this quote.

From the limited research I did about Napoleon, I found nothing that would indicate that he was a Christian. It seems he had a strong belief in God, the Father, but was shaky on Jesus having lived at all.

Just Don’t Use The “N” Word

Under normal circumstances, I do not tackle social or political issues here at PADAG.

These are not “normal” circumstances.

I have very strong convictions about both but when it comes to this blog I prefer to remember that everyone needs Jesus – whether I agree with them politically or not. This issue is not really about politics it is about right and wrong.

And Jesus does not have a political party.
