Quick Thoughts – “My Peace I Leave You…”

Jesus didn’t sugar coat how things would be for us after he left.

You WILL have suffering in this world...” (emphasis mine).

Wait our lives are not going to be all sunshine and puppy dogs?

Not according to Jesus. So how do we proceed?

“Be courageous!”

Jesus is telling us, don’t hide in your houses, don’t cower, don’t fear the Reaper. Get out and live your lives, The next thing he said is why we can – “I have conquered the world.”

How stinkin’ awesome is that?

As this Pandemic continues, I see and talk to people, mostly on social media, and despite the fact that they both approach this situation from different perspectives – some super worried about the virus and what “could” happen and others super worried about the government’s response and what “could” happen – both are worried.

Neither group has peace. But they could.

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid (John 14:27 – NLT, emphasis mine).”

Wanna talk about how you’re holding up or not? What are you doing to hold onto the peace that Jesus gives?
