Quick Thoughts – “…Your Faith is Futile…”

As a follower of Jesus there may be no bigger truth than the one stated above – IF – the rest of verse is true.

What does Paul actually say? In First Corinthians, chapter 15, verse 17 he says, “…if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.” Read the entire passage for yourself – 1st Cor. 15:12-19.

Our hope in eternity is based on the fact that when Mary and her companions approached the tomb on that first Easter morning – they didn’t find the dead body of Jesus. Instead, they encountered the living Christ.

You can too.

Yes, our sins are forgiven because of what Jesus did on Friday – but without His crucifixion, He couldn’t defeat death.

“Oh, death WHERE is thy sting?” “…thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

More than 2000 years later, He’s still here, still waiting. Still. He’s always ready to hear from you, waiting to speak to you, longing to comfort you – whether you’ve turned from your old life or are still denying that you need Him, HE IS READY.

He IS risen.
