Friday Poetry – Excessive Indifference

Excessive indifference, soft painted heart, hallow space in time.

Imprisoned in my empty dreams; seems that they’re not mine.

Tormented by the silence, the shadow walker; alone my bleeding mind.

Alleys of diamonds, shades of grey, tempted just to hide.

Flowers, iron, hearts of stone all dismissed by time.

Skies of fire burn the night, fighting currents pull.

Rage of angels, child’s play lost in vicious pain.

Sacred image, undone scars, filled with thoughts of life.

Endless running, mourning loss, envy fills my soul.

Blindly follow, empty talk; paths of fading light;

Enduring shame, unending rain, the vacant eyes do call.

Reluctant acceptance of things we can’t change; hearts divide the night.

Align the stars, I see them all, beside the holy rite.
